Disclaimer

Read this before you engage anyone. It explains what this site does, what it does not do, and the two checks you must make yourself.

This is a referral website

stripoutdemolitionperth.com.au does not perform demolition work. When you call (08) 6171 2654 or submit the enquiry form, your details are passed to one or more independent demolition contractors who service the Perth metropolitan area. Those contractors are separate businesses. They quote in their own name, contract in their own name, invoice in their own name, and carry out the work entirely under their own management. The operator of this website is not the contractor, not the contractor's employer or partner, and not a party to any agreement you make.

The operator does not verify contractors

This is the part that matters most, so it is stated without softening: the operator of this site does not verify the licences, registrations, insurances, qualifications or work history of any contractor a referral is sent to. No statement on this website should be read as a claim that any referred contractor is licensed, insured or certified. Before you engage any contractor — referred through this site or found anywhere else — make two checks yourself:

  1. Licence. If your job involves structural demolition or asbestos removal, confirm the contractor holds the appropriate current licence with WorkSafe WA (worksafe.wa.gov.au). Asbestos removal of 10 m² or more of bonded material, or any friable material, may only be done by a licensed removalist — ask for the licence number and check it against the regulator's records, not against a photocopy.
  2. Insurance. Ask for a current certificate of currency for public liability insurance (and, where relevant, workers' compensation), issued by the insurer and dated. Do not accept a verbal assurance.

If a contractor cannot promptly produce both, engage someone who can.

General information, not advice

The cost bands, permit explanations, asbestos summaries and suburb notes on this site are general information, current at the date shown on each page. They are not quotes, and they are not legal, building, engineering or safety advice. Regulations administered under the Building Act 2011 (WA) and WA's work health and safety laws change, and local governments apply them to individual properties in ways no website can predict. No content here promises that any permit or approval will be granted, and no price band binds any contractor. Confirm permits with your local government, licensing with WorkSafe WA, and pricing with a written quote for your actual property.

Asbestos — one bright line

This site will never publish instructions for handling or removing asbestos, and nothing on it should be read as encouragement to disturb suspect material yourself. If your property was built before 1990, treat asbestos as present until testing says otherwise, and leave confirmed material to a licensed removalist. No renovation saving justifies the alternative.

No liability for contractor work

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for the acts, omissions, workmanship, pricing, scheduling, conduct or insurance status of any independent contractor you engage following a referral from this site, nor for loss arising from reliance on the general information published here. Your remedies for defective or incomplete work lie against the contractor under your contract with them and under the Australian Consumer Law — rights which nothing on this page limits or excludes.
